[MOSTLY] WORDLESS WEDNESDAY - THE CAKE IS NOT A LIE

Three layers of awesome sugary death. I'm honestly shocked I am still functioning...
As promised, somewhere in my XXI | 10 Things of Thankful | XXI post this weekend, here is a picture of the cake that got not one, not two, but three well deserved slots on my list! I’m telling you it was amazing!

And for Dyanne and others who maybe have asked, but I conveniently forgot…
Dabble Jak with a professional "escort" he met while attending a masquerade ball... The Sign IS a lie!
Very rarely do I take any pictures. They mostly occur during the holidays and even then I try to avoid them like the plague. This is one of four pictures taken on the photo strip, but I couldn’t get a good picture of the entire thing. I’m still an amateur at photography. It’s a shame some of the “preview” pictures that the booth was showing us never were actually taken, because some of them were hilarious. They must have a delay to show you how you are currently being viewed in case you want to change it up? Either way, it is what it is.

Are you jealous of the Cake? Good. You should be! When was the last time you used a photobooth?

  1. We go to the state fair every year, and every year we visit the 4H building to see the cakes kids have made. Several of them were these topsy-turvy things. While your photo is a good one, they are even more impressive in person. I always wonder if cakes with all that fondant taste any good. Glad to hear they do.

That's a really good photo booth photo! When I took our 5 year old on vacation this year, we did a photo booth photo. It was the first one I've taken since I was a year old. Ours did not turn out nearly this well.

    1. I think our fair (maybe all state fairs do?) does that too. Honestly, though, I rarely hear about 4H anymore. Maybe it was just during the period of time I was in school. Maybe if I had children. Yeah, you would have to see it in person. The style of the cake, the topsy-turviness was the one requested by the host of the surprise party. There are actually dowels to maintain the structure. Kate doesn't like the taste of the fondant, but I didn't mind.

I am no sure how the pic turned out so well. We suspect a cd version with all the photos taken through the day was made. Traveling would be a good time to use photobooths, but no one would know where you are taking it from? Maybe they have a backdrop?

I will try to double visit your blog this weekend >.<

  2. That cake is awesome! The picture is very cute. I am sorry to say that I have never used a photobooth. I don't like having my picture taken either. :)

  4. I am WICKED jealous of the cake. Like you don't even know. Between that and the photobooth snap (freakin' fabulous, by the way!), it is clear you are making some excellent life-choices!

Sorry for not having stopped back by sooner, by the way - I am not totally sure how the Thankful blogging works, but that cake just sucked me in. Will make sure I don't leave it so long next time!

    1. TEX! Holy crap! don't fret about the visit frequency, I barely get in visits through the week, and its been a long while since I've been over to your neck of the woods.

I'd like to think I am making some decently sound life-choices!

Thanks so much for dropping by^^
